Diets for preschoolers
Diets for preschoolers are healthy diets with a varied composition and balanced meals. When planning the menu for a preschooler, however, you also need to take into account possible ailments and diseases from which the child suffers. Other dietary recommendations will be for a diabetic or a diet for an obese child, or a diet for a child with constipation or acid reflux. A small allergy sufferer should be nourished according to the principles of an elimination diet so that he does not develop an allergic reaction.

1. A healthy diet for a preschooler
If the child does not suffer from any diseases or ailments, you can safely give him all groups of products, of course keeping the right proportions. In this case, there are practically no products that are completely banned. We should remember, however, that the child's diet should include a variety of cereal products, vegetables and fruits, as well as dairy products, meat and fish. Sweets and savory snacks should not be served every day, but once in a while. We do not run away from fats (in the form of rapeseed oil, olive oil or various types of seeds, pips, nuts), as they should be included in a healthy diet for a child. They help absorb fat-soluble vitamins, so they are necessary as a supplement to vegetables. They are also needed in dairy products, so do not buy skimmed dairy products.
2. Children's diets
A diet for a child with diabetes should first of all be consulted with a doctor. The anti-diabetes diet for children is not very different from that of a healthy child. You just need to be more careful. Simple carbohydrates contained, e.g. in sweets or fruit, should not constitute more than 10% of the energy value of all meals per day. It is good to reduce the amount of fat a bit, although it is still needed in salads and dairy products. It is good to use more complex, slower digestible carbohydrates so as not to risk hyperglycemia, i.e. a sudden jump in blood glucose.
Obesity in children is an increasingly common problem, resulting in most cases from an inadequate diet. To make an overweight or obese preschooler menu help you lose weight, you need to act slowly. You can't limit your baby's food overnight, let's do it slowly. We should also remember that the child, even if he has a few extra pounds, continues to grow and develop. Too much calorie restriction for a child may result in developmental disorders and a deficiency of vitamins and minerals. In the initial phase of weight loss, it is good to completely eliminate sweets and salty snacks, replacing them with fruits and vegetables in various forms. When served nicely, they can even be attractive to a child. However, the main way to fight childhood obesity is through exercise.
Children with acid reflux disease should avoid foods that worsen symptoms, such as chocolate, fatty foods, fried meals. Meals eaten just before bedtime are also unfavorable. A visit to the doctor will help in determining the diet and implementation of treatment. In some cases, the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux must be pharmacological.
A diet for constipation in a child is primarily a diet rich in fiber and an adequate amount of water and other fluids. In case of constipation, you should carefully look at the child's menu. If it contains highly processed products (store-bought and ready-to-eat or canned products), hard to digest, sweetened - you need to change your child's eating habits. Fiber is found in vegetables and fruits, dark varieties of grain products, groats - and these products should form the basis of a child's diet.
