Strengthen immunity, or how to prevent our child from becoming ill

Holidays are over, and so are sunny days and high temperatures. Fall and winter also have their charm, but for most parents, this is a time when they need to be especially careful with their children. Changes in weather, low temperatures and contact with cold peers every day put the child's immunity to the test. What to do to avoid seasonal infections? The most important thing is to strengthen the immune system that protects the child from pathogenic viruses and bacteria.

See the movie: "What to look for when choosing a nursery for a child?"

1. A healthy diet for immunity

A strong immune system is able to defend itself against germ attacks on its own, and if it becomes infected, it makes the symptoms milder and your little one quickly recovers. That is why it is so important to properly care for the child's immunity. One way to strengthen yourself is through a proper diet.

A healthy menu should provide the necessary nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The autumn-winter menu must include products rich in protein (fish, lean meat), complex carbohydrates (whole grain bread, groats, oatmeal) and good fats, i.e. omega 3 fatty acids (they are found, among others, in olive oil , sea fish, nuts).

The most valuable vitamins and minerals that enhance immunity can be found in vegetables and fruits. In autumn and winter, focus on seasonal products, such as pumpkin, leeks, onions, garlic, root vegetables (carrots, beets) and legumes. Include more fruits in your child's menu, such as apples, pears, plums, and citrus. They contain vitamin C, which greatly strengthens the body and allows it to better defend itself against infections.

It is also worth taking care of the regularity of meals and a diversified diet. Eating the same dishes over and over again ends with a shortage of important substances, so experiment in the kitchen and persuade your child to try new products. In autumn and winter, it is also worth giving the children as many warm meals as possible. Cooked food provides energy and warms you up.

2. Child versus colds

Your toddler loves spending time outdoors, even in fall and winter? This is great because being active outdoors toughens the body. However, it is worth remembering that the child must then be properly dressed. Each of us wants the child to be warm and comfortable, but you should not overdo it with the amount of clothes. Overheating the body is as dangerous as cooling it down, so try to dress your baby "onions" and remove one layer if necessary.

The winter months force us to spend more time at home. The conditions in the apartment are very important for the child's immunity. Ventilate rooms regularly and check that the temperature is not too high. Inside the house it should be around 20 degrees Celsius. In addition, pay attention to the humidity of the air. Heating dries them up, which translates into an increased tendency to catch colds. Why? Dry air dries up the mucosa, making it easier for bacteria and viruses to pass through it and into the body. You end up coughing, having a throat problem and feeling unwell. You can put damp towels on the radiators or equip yourself with a special humidifier that will improve the air quality in your home.

3. The power of nature for the sake of the child's immunity

Are you wondering how to additionally take care of your child's immunity during colds? Bet on ingredients of natural origin that support the immune system.

What substances does your little one need? First of all, vitamins A and C, and minerals such as zinc, which support the proper functioning of the immune system. Additionally, vitamin A helps maintain the proper condition of the mucous membranes.

You can use products based on ingredients of natural origin to support the child's immunity.

The child's immunity should be taken care of comprehensively - a healthy diet, outdoor activity, hygiene, rest and supporting products that will provide the child with an additional portion of important ingredients are needed.
